Aiden Barenholtz
Aiden Barenholtz is studying Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at the University of Florida. Coming from just outside New York City Aiden has had the opportunity to hear about and see some incredible advances in technology, whether it be the latest car at the New York Auto Show, or the newest method for surgery at John Hopkins. Therefore, from a young age he has always been intrigued at the latest gadget. This lead him to pursue a degree in engineering, where he could learn about how things work and give him the knowledge to design something that can impact people’s lives. Towards the beginning of high school, his guidance counselor introduced him to the Achieve Tutor Foundation. This foundation provides children in the public school with private tutors. Aiden then became one of those tutors and for the next four years assisted in providing these children with a foundation on which to build their academic success.
Being on a design team for Empowered Prosthetics allowed Aiden to combine two of his largests interests, service and design. Empowered Prosthetics is a nonprofit company and therefore everything they do is in service for young children across the country. Being apart of the design team allowed Aiden to pursue his passion for design while knowing he’s doing it for an incredible cause.
