EMG Sensor

The EMG (Electromyograph) sensor is an electronic device that allows amputees to use their prosthetic in a functional manner. An EMG sensor allows the amputee to operate the prosthetic by picking up electrical activity produced by their muscles. This electrical acitvity is converted into signals that are analyzed by the processing unit, which then converts the signals into a message that is readable by the motor within the prosthetic. The purpose of developing this technology is to further decrease the prosthetic arm costs.
