John was born in Tampa but was raised in Miami, Florida. Both if his parents work in the health field and growing up he knew helping people live fuller, healthier lives was what he wanted to do. He joined Empowered Prosthetics to work with a dedicated team of students striving to make a great product.  Last summer, John spent 10 weeks interning at Moffitt Cancer Center in the Tumor Biology Department and has a passion for his Magnetic Nanoparticles research done on the UF campus. As a founder of Chemical Engineers for Health, he has helped organize ChemE Day and raise funds for Tyler’s Hope, an organization aimed at building awareness about the debilitating movement disorder dystonia. John hopes to attend graduate school to pursue a PhD.
