Mr. Shakoor is a sophomore intern at Empowered Prosthetics who is majoring in Information Systems Operations Management and minoring in Computer Science and French. He was born in New York City, and moved to Hollywood, Florida at a young age, where he became involved in the community. He has helped start and run interdisciplinary extracurricular programs for elementary and middle school students in low socioeconomic neighborhoods, and graduated with various honors within the top 5% of his high school class. During his first three semesters at the University of Florida, Shakoor has further cultivated his leadership skills by becoming an Enactus Emerging Leader as well as the coordinator of external affairs for GatorTech.
