Feng was born in New York City and moved to Florida when he was 8. Growing up, Feng was always curious about how skyscrapers don’t fall over, how planes fly, and how cars move. Because of his interest in the science and design of everyday objects and structures, Feng is pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering. His education through the years have shown him how engineering can be used to understand and solve problems. Being involved in Empowered Prosthetics has allowed Feng to be part of a solution to provide affordable prosthetics for people. His role as an intern in the Hand Team is to understand and replicate the basic structure and mobility of the hand and 3-D print them for testing.

In his free time, Feng likes to exercise, watch movies, play the piano, and read up on the latest tech. He is also a mentor to a group of upcoming engineering students who are involved in the First Tech Challenge robotics competition.
