Mr. Casas is the Founder and Chairman of Empowered Prosthetics.  While he is a chemical engineering major with little business experience, his real talent is in leadership. He has personally recruited every member, from the board of directors to interns and Ph.D.'s to part-time undergraduates. He has sold them on his vision to create an affordable prosthetic to help those in need. Moving from Bogota, Colombia in 2004 at the age of twelve, Juan moved into his grandmother’s house with his family and saved money until attending Palm Beach State College. Working diligently and striving for success, Juan is on track to graduate Summa Cum Laude in chemical engineering at the University of Florida and aspires to work in the oil and gas industry or consulting.
